Close Comfort develops energy efficient personal cooling devices

Close Comfort is an Australian and Singapore based start-up founded in 2007 that develops eco-friendly energy efficient personal cooling devices to provide sustainable solutions to cool a warming world.

Professor James Trevelyan, the founder and CEO of Close Comfort envisions creating an energy-efficient, eco-friendly and affordable line of cooling solutions that do not harm the environment. He is an engineer, educator, and an advocate for action against climate change who has many years travelling the world studying and testing his products in different climatic conditions.

His research on engineering practises and infrastructure development in low-income countries continues to this day. Professor James is a recipient of the prestigious Engineers Australia medal for his meritorious service, and author of the book, The Making of an Expert Engineer.
